Anas Abdelhafez is currently the Director of smart cities and communities at the National Telecom Regulatory Authority” NTRA” of Egypt since 2016 with expertise in design, planning and managing the implementation of telecom network infrastructure. For the last five years, Anas focused on adopting diverse solutions of ICT infrastructure to improve integration between different utilities, such as transportation, waste management, water and power grid management as strategic infrastructure in smart cities. Anas believes that a proper planning of a modern and comprehensive ICT infrastructure is the key of a smart and sustainable city. Anas holds an M.Sc. in Electronics and Communications Engineering
